As an American Citizen born and raised in Venezuela, I have seen the devastating impacts caused by the radical ideologies that have ultimately destroyed my native country. These very same ideologies have infiltrated their way into American politics, education, corporations and mainstream media, influencing and destroying our communities.
The freedoms and opportunities that brought me to this great nation are under attack. I will not be a bystander and watch as the country and city I love are destroyed by socialist and communist ideologies. What we need are strong leaders and strong voices in our communities to make a difference. Individuals who will not back down from a fight and will stand for the principles this nation was built on.
I am that leader. I am that strong voice for our community here in Wilmington, NC. I will not back down when opposition arises, and I will uphold the Constitution and principles of this great nation and ensure they are applied equally under the law here in our community.

VISION
Jonathan envisions raising his family in a Wilmington that is safe, properly managed to sustain our growth patterns, home to great opportunities for our small businesses and residents alike, and is a great place to live. Realizing this vision will take a dedicated leader who will be the tip of the spear.
SERVICE
Jonathan understands that the role of City Councilor in Wilmington, North Carolina is a very demanding and daunting prospect for many. He is willing to step forward and lead the conservative charge on the Council for the benefit of all within the City.
PLANNING
The city of Wilmington is constantly evolving. There are many projects within our corporate borders that need a conservative eye overwatching them. We must account for future growth while preserving our history within the City.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
Jonathan will be a leader who is going to ensure we are responsible and good stewards of taxpayers’ money. Ensuring that our budget is balanced, and that our spending invests in the future of the City is a top priority. Addressing tax issues, inflation and waste are critical to a healthy overall city budget.
LAW & ORDER
We must follow the law and enforce order. During periods of unrest or protest, we must focus on making sure the actions taken because of a particular cause or rally cry are executed in a manner aligned with our democratic process and not swift emotional reactions resulting in the erosion of our rights and due process. There are proper ways to make changes within our community and we must abide by the law. As the City Council of Wilmington, we are directly responsible for approving the budgetary items within the Wilmington Police Department. Jonathan will ensure we are funding our Department for more training, personnel and equipment.
SMALL BUSINESS & FREE ENTERPRISE
The backbone of Wilmington is our small businesses. We need to promote free enterprise systems that support our small businesses. This includes supporting women-owned and minority-owned businesses. A free enterprise system allows for healthy competition and organic growth. As a small business owner, Jonathan understands the headaches, hardships and hard work needed to become a successful and contributing member of our community through entrepreneurship.
ZONING & TAX ISSUES
Wilmington is under constant development and improvement. This means that we are constantly dealing with zoning issues pertaining to small and medium-sized businesses, and the tax implications that surround those transactions. Jonathan will focus on identifying ways to improve the processes around zoning issues, as well as ensuring we limit the tax burdens on our small businesses.
