Debra LeCompte – Town Council, Carolina Beach, NC

Deb was born in Norfolk, VA but, grew up in Cabarrus County, NC. She is a Wife, a Mom to six (3 adult humans & 3 with fur), a Grandmother (YaYa) to one awesome little girl and owns several businesses.

Deb has been a “beach girl” her whole life and it was always her dream to someday live at the beach. Someday happened when she and her husband George “Butch” made the decision that Carolina Beach would be their forever home in 2003.

Deb grew up as an athlete playing baseball, basketball and softball. She was one of the first girls to play little league baseball in her hometown of Pleasant, NC. She started coaching youth sports at the age of 17 and continued to do so until 2014 when her youngest graduated high school.

Deb has been a community volunteer since the age of 17. She is very active as a volunteer in the community of Carolina Beach as well as being a founding board member of the local non-profit Pleasure Island Habitat/Pleasure Island Disaster Relief Fund.
