Registration process, being selected as a delegate, and being elected as a Precinct Officer.

Registration
  • Registration is done either online or on the day of the convention.
  • Registration is $15/person via credit card if done online or $30 via cash/check at the convention.
  • Online registration closes at 11:59 PM on March 15.
  • In person registration starts at 5pm on March 19th and closes at 6:30 PM. All persons in line at 6:30 PM will be allowed to register.
  • Pre-Registered Attendees must also check-in, and must check-in before 6:30 PM
  • There is no correlation between the time or order someone registered and being selected as a delegate. The first person who registered online and the last person who is in line at 6:30PM on the 19th have exactly the same opportunity to be selected as a delegate.
Precinct Meetings
  • Precinct meetings are held before the convention starts.
  • Registered attendees will be seated with their precincts.
Election of Delegates
  • 579 total delegates are authorized to vote at the convention. Delegates are elected by Precinct.
  • Each precinct is authorized 1 Delegate + 1 Delegate per 100 Republicans within that precinct.
  • We will use Precinct H-13 as our example. H-13 is authorized 21 Delegates to the convention. If only 18 H-13 residents are present at this meeting, all 18 will be designated as Delegates.
  • If 22 residents of H-13 attend the meeting, each precinct member in attendance will vote for the 20 delegate positions. The attendees who receive the most votes are designated as Delegates.
  • The other 2 attendees would be designated as Alternates and may still attend the convention – however they do not have speaking or voting rights.
Requirements
  • All Delegates and Alternates must be a resident of the Precinct they represent.
  • All attendees at the Precinct Meetings or the Convention must be a registered Republican as of January 31, 2024.
