Key Responsibilities
- Supervise staff and hundreds of temporary election workers
- Oversee voter registration, absentee ballots, and candidate filings
- Prepare ballots, voting machines, and precinct maps
- Manage budget, vendor contracts, and long-range planning
- Train poll workers and ensure polling place accessibility
- Represent the Board of Elections in a non-partisan capacity
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Political Science preferred) + 7 years elections experience OR equivalent
- Must obtain NC Election Administrator certification within 3 years
- CERA certification encouraged
